Do you consider yourself as an author?

Do you consider yourself as an author? The question arises every day in my life. Most of the people including my friends and family used to ask me the same. My answer always remains the same, no I am not an author rather you can consider me as a story teller.

In my opinion an author is one who writes his subject (story or anything) with some set of rules or standards. He follows the pragmatic way of writing. But a story teller is one who is more interested in telling his story. His or her prime objective is always telling their stories in an independent manner.

For example very recently I contacted one of the reputed person who is a master in English literature and he has penned number of books and poems in English language. During the proofreading of my upcoming novel The Cry of Freedom he said “your novel is a perfect blend of everything, it contains drama, relationship, parenthood, action, revenge, courtroom drama and so on. But some scenes are more fantasized which may lose its literature value.”

With his remark I did not became upset or unhappy rather it was a good news for me, because the scenes and situations were created for the readers and I firmly believe that it has power to connect with the readers mind and they can make out what is good or bad.

I like to tell my stories. Stories through the medium of novels or blogs and more importantly, the message must be delivered to the readers. So friends, come and read my stories. I can assure you that it provides you entertainment with some true meanings of life.
