“The Cry of Freedom” my upcoming
novel is very close to my heart as it is my debut novel. In the journey of
writing the novel, I got the opportunity to learn the many new things. Since
thirteen months I am involved with the immortal characters of the novel. The
every individual characters of the novel command a specific gravity in their
own style. There are many essential elements which I love about my novel but
today I am going to tell you the few best things which love most about the
novel.
Firstly the novel, The Cry of
Freedom talks about the rural India and its root cultures. The story is set on
the contemporary periods of mid 1960s, the atmosphere and surroundings mesmerizes
me a lot. The period was the best period of Indian history in which country
like India seeded the concept of modernization & liberalization.
Secondly, the novel openly talks
about the main stream challenges & key constraints of the modern civil society.
From pre-historic times women were not allowed to work outside and only male
members were the sole winner of bread & butter to the entire family. The feudalism,
strict caste system, and orthodox rituals were more prevalent in the society.
Thirdly, it reflects the true
socio-economic aspect of the society because at that time agriculture was the
main source of income. There was no employment opportunity for the people as
literacy rate was very low among the masses. The unorganized method of
agriculture and unpredictable rain was the key challenge for the overall growth
and function of the agriculture.
Finally, at the end of the novel we
can witness the era of reform. The much needed reform in the mindset of the
population and eventually it ignites the flame of revolution against the evil
rituals and politics of feudal lords. Gradually the revolution turns into
revenge and thus it becomes The Cry of Freedom.
